About The Author:
Sunil Gawde was born in Mumbai in 1960. He graduated in fine art from Sir
Jamsetjee Jejeebhoy School of Art, Mumbai, in 1980. In 1995, he received the
British Council's Charles Wallace Award for 1995-1996, and spent a year as
visiting artist at the Glasgow School of Art, Scotland.
Since 1990, Gawde has held 11 solo exhibitions of his paintings, sculptures,
installations and composite works,including 'Radium Grass' (Mackintosh Museum,
Glasgow, 1997), '1 mm' (Sakshi Gallery, Mumbai, 2001), '8 seconds ahead of time'
(Sakshi Gallery, Bangalore, 2002), 'Blind bulb etc' (Sakshi Gallery,
